About Us

Central California Senior Housing, formerly Visalia Senior Housing, founded in 1972 by three founding churches, Christ Lutheran Church, First United Methodist Church, and St. Paul’s Anglican Church, is proud to share their involvement in developing over 300+ units caring for seniors in need.

MEMORIES HAVE BEEN MADE

Our History

  • The Meadows first began in 1974, developing a large campus of 100 units

  • The Towne Meadows with 100 units in downtown Visalia, opened in 1980

  • Oak Meadows with 65 units in downtown Visalia, opened in 2000

  • Sierra Meadows with 42 units off of E Tulare Ave in Visalia, opened in 2008

In 2018, CCSH sold its Towne Meadows to another developer committed to providing affordable housing for seniors. Thomas Safran and Associates, based in Los Angeles, stepped in and continued providing independent living to our community.

The Meadows offers income‑qualified older adults a peaceful, welcoming place to call home. Nestled in a quiet Visalia neighborhood, this community features recently remodeled and well‑maintained apartment homes designed with seniors in mind. Residents enjoy comfortable living spaces, accessible common areas, and beautifully kept grounds that create a sense of calm and familiarity. We are currently building a new Community Room and Offices on the campus that will give us more space to engage with our residents.
